More than 5000 years ago the Supreme Lord Shree Krishna spoke the great scripture, Shreemad Bhagavad Geeta to His friend and disciple, Shree Arjuna in the battlefield of Kurukshetra. This day is celebrated as Shree Geeta Jayanti also known as the Advent of Shreemad Bhagavad Geeta. This year it falls on the 1st of December on Trisprsa Mahadvadashi tithi. This auspicious occasion reminds us of the timeless teachings of Lord Krishna, guiding us to live a life of duty, devotion, and surrender. It is a celebration of divine wisdom and spiritual awakening.

The Bhagavad Geeta epitomizes the entire body of Vedic teachings. It succinctly articulates what is highlighted in the Vedanta. It is therefore, eulogized by Vedic scholars as ‘Gitopanishad’. This Holy Scripture is globally admired not merely for its antiquity but for wisdom, breath and eloquence of philosophy propound.

Comprising 700 verses in 18 chapters, the Shreemad Bhagavad Geeta transcends sectarianism and answers all our deepest questions of life. His Divine Grace Shreela Bhakti Swarupa Tirtha Maharaj, the Founder-Acharya of Gaudiya Vaishnava Association (GVA), has presented the Bhagavad Gita Made Easy – audio in a scholarly yet simple language

On this holy occasion, devotees offer their gratitude by reciting the Shreemad Bhagavad Geeta, hearing lectures, participating in kirtans and aarati, and making heartfelt donations to spread the Supreme Lord Krishna’s message of dharma and bhakti worldwide. Supporting this seva helps share our Respected Shreela Gurudeva’s mission distributing the Bhagavad Gita Made Easy USB to every home and heart. Geeta Daan is one of the most sacred acts of charity during this time. By sharing Lord Krishna’s teachings, devotees help enlighten others and bring peace, purpose, and devotion into countless lives. Lord Shree Krishna Himself affirms in the Shreemad Bhagavad Geeta, chapter 18, text 68 that, “For one who explains this supreme secret to the devotees, pure devotional service is guaranteed, and at the end he will come back to Me.
