About

Founded by His Divine Grace Bhakti Swarup Tirtha Maharaj, the Gaudiya Vaishnava Association (GVA) is a spiritual congregation striving to enlighten everyone about the most important goal of life - Krishna Consciousness or unconditional loving devotional service to Lord Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Its sole aim is to promote peace and harmony by spreading spiritual knowledge and remove the misery caused by hankering for material gains in today's materialistic world.

Under the spiritual guidance of His Divine Grace B.S. Tirtha Maharaja, the Gaudiya Vaishnava Association welcomes everyone, without any distinction, to take part in its activities such as prayer meetings, sankirtanas, cultural and charitable activities, and private discussions. Daily Bhagavat Gita classes and weekly feast programmes are held at the temples in Navi Mumbai, Kolkata and Shridham Mayapur in India. Other GVA centres are in UK, USA, Australia, Malaysia and Bahrain.
The principal objectives of GVA may be summed up as follows:

1. To spread spiritual awareness all over the world.
2. To make people realise the futility of mere material advancement devoid of God-consciousness.
3. To impress upon the people's minds, the usefulness of stratification of human society according to the Vedic system, i.e., the daiva varnashrama system, aimed at ultimate spiritual perfection.
4. To assist the ignorant suffering masses to understand the actual goal of human life, i.e., to re-establish the lost relationship with God.
5. To propagate, preach and promote the only means of deliverance - the chanting of the Holy Names of God, Shri Krishna.
6. To help the masses in their time of suffering thereby helping them achieve a comfortable situation conducive to the development of spiritual life or Krishna Consciousness.
7. Above all, teaching the ignorant masses how to love God, and not fear Him!
